Every relic carries a rarity all its own — not the coarse label stamped on it, but a truer measure of how scarce this particular example really is. The tier is the band; the index is where inside it the relic actually lands.

The trap is that two relics can share a name and a broad category while sitting at very different stations. An arcana tied to a discontinued treasure, or an immortal that stopped circulating seasons ago, is a different asset from one still handed out freely — even though a careless glance files them together. Prices built on the name alone quietly ignore that gap.

That is where value hides. A seller who prices off the obvious label can under-ask on a genuinely scarce example without ever realising it — and a buyer skimming the name will never notice. The information to catch it is there in the relic’s lineage and scarcity, but only if something reads it properly rather than trusting the label.
